"the celebration starts with laughter.."

yesterday my sushi date with eiko turned into a family affair! it was eiko, her best friend maki, and her two kids (keita and taketa) and eiko's niece, mirei, and me! so much fun! i got to practise my simple japanese, understand what they were saying, gorge myself on sushi and go to the arcade, play racing games, and taiko drumming, and do so much purikura i became addicted.

mirei and i in the sushi bar. she's the daughter of terumi, niece of eiko (thus why she was at sushi!) so cute it hurts. and id ask her a question in japanese and she'd answer in english. love it!


maki is a strong mom!


taketa and mirei go at it with the taiko drumming! it was really difficult so they were just beating the drums without any hint for the beat of the song. it was fabulous.


we did a crap load of purikura. this is of eiko, maki, and i. my favourite shot. but the picture didnt turn out too well.
